Sunrise at Oregon's Painted Hills monument.

Nikon D300, Nikkor 10-24mm

Updated version with better color and brighter detail in the actual painted hills at the Purchase Print link. A bit less of a pink cast in that one as well.

Another fantastic image Alex. I especially like the light on the foreground grass ruffs and distant hills.

Nice colours...not sure about the dark clouds on the right. they are a little distracting. :toast:

Yeah, I hate the dark clouds, Gary, but there's not much you can do when they're all over the scene. I cloned quite a few tiny ones out that were speckled on the color. I guess I could remove the two thin strips on the very right as well, but removing the big clouds that overlap the color would be a HUGE pain and probably end up looking very unnatural, with the gradient there.

Wow. Beautiful colors, interesting layers, and killer light. I really like the fg grass with their excellent details and sweet morning kiss of light.

Interesting light you pulled out here, Alex I really like the colors. Don't necessarily look real, but they work well together.

Love the sweeping grand view you created here, Alex. The color and light is astounding. The brightness of the pink in the fg is almost unbelievable but does add a "wow" factor at first sight.
