Porcelain Sunset

I was exploring Yellowstone's Porcelain Basin yesterday near sunset and got this before the heavy clouds (on the horizon here) rolled in, blocking any sunset. (5D3, 24-70 f2.8 @ 43mm, f/10, 1/80 s, iso 100, polarizer, tripod)

Interesting and colorful. The lighting on the steam is a nice highlight. There is a bridge in the background, so this should be in man and nature I think.

Great light to show off all that steam, Mark. My only nit is that I want to see more; the most vivid steam is on the right side, and gets cut off before we get to see much of it. I keep wondering what the rest of this would look like if it were a panorama. Of course, that does not keep me from enjoying what I see here!

Very nice image Mark. I really like how the side light is illuminating the steam. I wish I could see a bit more of the steam on the right hand side, but this is a minor nit.

The glass like surface, steam, and reflection create an interesting scene with wonderful abstract qualities Mark. I would be tempted to crop the background to emphasize that.

BTW -I do notice the bridge as well so I do need to move this to M&N Gallery. Hope you understand. If you have any questions, please e-mail me or one of the other ESS / M&N mods.
