The Duck

Thanks for your comments on my previous post.

Here I was looking for the best spot to capture the cloud and its reflection in the lagoon, when this single duck showed up. It let me follow it for a while along the shore before it eventually decided that our encounter had lasted long enough... gracefully gathered speed, flew over an iceberg and then spread its wings to the max to slow down and land softly a few meters away... quite a flight spectacle to behold

This is my record of the brief moments we spent together :-)

Very well done and seen. Gives the term "cold feet" a new meaning.
Thanks for the share :toast:

Hope you had on your "warm woolies!" The duck adds a nice grace note that completes what would have been a fairly prosaic picture. Excellent and worth the wait!

This looks great Karsten. I like the light, reflections and color a lot here, but most of all I love the wonderful feeling this image has. :toast:

Cool, i like the contrasts here, great reflection shot. There looks like some mild barrel distortion; might be worth correcting. :wavey:

Beautiful scene Karsten, love the low hanging clouds and reflections. Definitely has a wonderful mood.

Love the color combo and quiet solitude this conveys Karsten. Very natural looking scene and I especially like the lone duck.

Even without the duck, this would be a very nice photo. Really love the scene and the focal points of the warm-colored cloud and reflection.

Really like the white balance on this one. Has a nice aqua tone to it which is a great balance between cold and warm color temps. Nice work!

Beautiful - love the clarity. Color contrast looks great, and the clouds add a wonderful feel to the image. I can't be sure, but it appears tilted a little counter clockwise.
