A common noisy and charismatic bird of the rainforest in northern Australia. It's black plumage is characterised by iridescent blue-green spots which "spangle" in the sunlight.
D800, 300 2.8 x 1.7, monopod. f7.1, 1/500, ISO 1000.
Thanks, Greg.

Looks somewhat like our Grackle. Nice detail and color, and a smooth, buttery background.

What a beautiful bird. I like everything about this. Super sharp and nicely exposed. Great perch and background.

Pretty light and colors. Open bill is nice along with that red eye. Sharon

Excellent. Fine work on the iridescence and capturing the open bill. A flashy looking bird.

Neat bird Greg. Love the comp and the open bill adds a lot IMO.

Uncluttered background makes a nice palette for this iridescent bird with a great eye. Nicely done.

For us this is different specie, with very sharp detail, beautiful perch and BG. TFS.
