This is from my trip to the "Gastlosen", a mountain range in the wetern alps of switzerland. The last light of the day let the rocks glow.

That's gorgeous Bill. The alpenglow is perfectly captured in intensity and color, and it contrasts so nicely against the blue. The large version is a real joy to view.

Interesting to see this in different light! The glow looks fantastic. And there is no distracting element intruding from the bottom.. :wink: Very good work Bill!

Of all the shots you took of this I would have to say the vertical is my favorite although you can see more of the surrounding landscape in this horizontal. What a beautiful place and I think you had a very successful journey. Nice work Bill!

Really nice light, Bill and I like the strong diagonal of the ridgeline. Looks like a grand view.

That looks like some very brief light that a prepared photographer was able to exploit very nicely. Wonderful image.
