Longs Peak 5

Tired of Longs Peak yet? Don't worry, I'm almost plum out of images...

This evening, we got some great light on the peak. Very colorful yet brief. Also, the water was still enough to create a near-perfect reflection. Again, no clouds, which I was a bit disappointed about, but I enjoyed the sunset a ton.

Canon 60d 10-22mm @ 22mm (I cropped the image a bit...)
ISO 100 --- f/14 --- 1/8 sec. --- Tripod --- no filters

Nice hint of color (which is well reflected) and good exposure on the dark trees.

Overall, pretty nice. Since so much of the image is dark, perhaps a bit more detail in the shadows would help if you can pull it out.

Nathan, this is splendid. I like the burst of light on the peak as well as the details in the rock and the weeds in the foreground. If you could pull a little more light and detail out of the trees and mid portion of the photo, I think it could help. Larger is better, for sure.

The perfect reflection and the touch of evening color are lovely and peaceful. I really like the interest added by the foreground grasses.

This is a very relaxing image for me, Nathan. The light is nice and I like the peaks reflection along with the FG grasses in the water. I can image being there and taking this in as the sun sets.

Thanks, everyone! Now that you mention it, the trees are a bit dark, but fortunately that's a relatively easy fix. It was incredible standing there taking this all in... Hope you all enjoy it as much as I did!
