Its Autumn

Probably my last weekend of Flora Shooting outside is up. Night Temps falling close to freezing now.

Autumn is at its peak here in Milwaukee. Used to ignore Autumn from a photography perspective in the last couple of years so decided to make some amends.

ND300s, 50mm F/1.8 Lens @ F/11, 1/100 Sec, ISO400 and Handheld early in the morning. I added some gaussian blur prior to sharpening for a soft feel - not sure it works.

Thanks a lot for your comments on Osteospermum and let me know what you think of this one.

The soft-light permeates the entire scene creating a quiet mood full of seasonal beauty. Excellent...no nits... oh, just one thought... clone out the stump. Not ethical to some...but, I would give a second thought. Beautiful. Well done!

Beautiful soft feel to this, excellent colours, nice comp . Mixed feelings about the stump; I guess I also would get rid of it.

OH, this is sweet. I sure miss the Mid-west fall (not so much the winters). Great comp and capture Ram.

Beautiful fall image, Ram. The softness of both the colors and the processing really appeals to me. Gives quite a peaceful feel to this scene. . .feels like a crisp fall morning. I like the progression of colors from lighter to darker in the trees and the nice ground cover of leaves. Lovely!

Beautiful soft colors. And I like the color on the ground also.

Coming from the land of pines, I sure do enjoy the colors! If it weren't for the pear trees in the road medians, there would be no fall colors here. I like the soft feel you have created in this image, and I agree on the stump. Sort of, LOL. Actually, it only bothered me when Ken brought it up. Then I keep seeing it!

Nice Ram, a most pleasing blend of autumnal colors and overall a great scene/comp.
I "wood" consider removing the stump BLC..or not

A very calming fall scene Ram. Nice color and an effective comp. A very pretty photo. I think the softness works very well.

Spectacular color! The leaves on the ground really add to an already striking composition.

Ram:
Awesome color, light and mood :toast:

My eyes were immediately drawn to the stump so another vote for making the stump disappear. You might want to consider cloning out the scattered white spots in the foliage where the light has peek through. K

Thanks everyone - Good suggestions. The Stump and those tiny weeny highlights from in between the foliage needs to go. Will be done when I print.
