White Coneflowers-Theme

I haven't posted for a while but this month's theme sounded interesting. I love using textures so I gave this a go.

The texture file is from ShadowHouse Creations (they are free to download); this one is called Oil Painting-5. The original image was placed on top of the texture file and changed to Hard Light with opacity at 100%.

I will also post the original image and go back and try a few more.

I like the addition of the texture, Barbara. It spices up the background, but also softens up the oof flowers nicely.

I like the texture and how it applies most strong to the oof areas. Looks like a painting on a very rough canvas.

Barbara,

This works very well with the coneflowers. The gray background in the original is much improved. Lovely result. :toast:

Thanks to everyone for your comments. I really love working with textures but also find them challenging. Thanks so much for the WP. I appreciate it very much. Can't wait to get out there and shoot the fall colors and work with more textures. Happy Fall everyone!
