For a second, Albert, I thought I missed winter. Beautiful soft colors with just the right pof. :toast:

edit: Albert, Gary: Great minds think alike. I also picked up the D600. Like Gary said, the lack of a raw converter in PS has prevented me from shooting with it, but I saw a note today that there the converter update is available for LR4, which I got on a trial basis, so I hope to start using it.

Soft mood indeed and the narrow focus with good detail on inner structure is wonderful. Truly beautiful image, Albert.

Albert:
This is a continuation of your fabulous crocus series earlier in the year. Another beautiful image in your collection.

Got the D600 two days ago and have been busy testing it out. The things I really like are the bright and 100% viewfinder, not too bulky and fits nicely in my hand, better controls, faster fps, high iso, dual card holder etc.. You are going to love it. Glad I hold out on the D800. Only problem as the moment is no raw converter for LR4 (saw update yesterday which I am yet to install so no images to post yet)

Albert - I love the soft mood you speak of. Love the selective focus on the yellow stamens and the use of complementary colors. Nice Spring photo.

The Crocus is one of my favorite flowers for macro work. You've certainly done it justice, Albert.
The colors are beautiful and I like your DOF choice.

great color contrast. Detail is perfect. I dove into the older photos because I didn't want those to be forgotten, and I wanted to find something that really stood out over the many pages. This one did for me. Very nice.
