The north coast of California near Crescent City. I debated about where to post this, but decided on Avian. This an environmental portrait of a Black Oystercatcher. They live in some very rocky and sometimes harsh area. All comments and critiques are welcome.

Richard, I like the setting, I like the light and I like the oystercatcher. But, I think the foreground overwhelms the image and I would suggest a crop a little bit below the rocks the bird is on. Also the horizon dips to the left a bit. Thanks for sharing reminds me of when I saw these birds off the coast of Washington.

A photogenic setting that overwhelms the bird, I'm afraid. Black Oystercatchers are usually very approachable, if you can find one on shore.
