Greater Yellowlegs

Each fall the yellowlegs stop at our local ponds to bulk up before continuing their journey south. This was taken at a local pond.

Nikon D300s, 300 + 1.4 TC, 1/2000, f5.6, HH.

May: Really pretty. The bird is great, and the colors in the water really add a lot of interest to the overall image. Beautiful capture.

Great bird, nice details and pose. But, the water color puts this one up to the top for me too.
