North Coast

This was taken near Wilson Creek on the north coast of California. The sun had not yet risen over the mountains and the colors were very subtle. I appreciate all comments and critiques.

I like this a lot. The water has texture and movement, and the rocks are not without structure. I am tempted to alleviate the blue cast, but it does go with the territory. I think this is one of those occasions where the light conditions command the hues, shadows and highlights.

Wonderful comp and I like the water motion Richard but I might be tempted to adjust the white balance or saturation to remove some of the cyan color cast..

Love the water textures you've captured Richard. The image feels a little flat overall, but I wouldn't want to ruin the nice soft and subtle mood by adding too much contrast. Perhaps just a little bit more mid-tone contrast for some definition, but it's purely a subjective thing. Nice shot.

Richard, your composition works exceptionally well to me. I appreciate the way you anchore the image by the rocks and I keep exploring all the details of the sea surface. Perfect choice of shutter speed to my eye. I wonder whether this shot would work as b&w as well.

The kind of coastal photography I enjoy immensely. Very nicely done, Richard.

I like the comp. Maybe feels a bit too blue/cyan. Looks like some great color/contrast would be possible with the clouds.
