On the Run

This is not a great bird shot by any means but a enviormental portait. I do not like to shoot birds from the rear end but this Green Heron was dashing away from me the background was too much to pass up. The creek bottom had a sheen from residue and glistened. The creek had been polluted the day before with a petro solvent of some kind. I reported it and the Dallas Parks and people were out in 30 minutes to meet with me. They set out a boom and downstream was cleared up. The origin has yet to be determined.
