I like the contrast between the darker fg and the shining mountain. You could probably go with a pano crop and eliminate most of the empty sky. Also, there is a little dust mote just above the shoulder of the hill on the right side. Nice depth and detail in this scene.

Nancy,
I've stood there myself! You were indeed lucky to have the mountain visible for you. When I was there for 4 days (long time ago) we saw the mountain for a total of about 4 hours.
Anyway, a grand view for sure. I would agree with Nancy Lea about cropping much of the sky since it's not really adding anything to your composition. The landscape seems a little dark to me, but the mountain and sky seem just right. It's nice image, but just a little static.
After posting my comment here I'm going to go ahead and move this to the Man & Nature gallery. While not prominent, the road and bus are hard to avoid here. Let us know if you have any questions or concerns.
thanks for posting!

Your were sure lucky to see Denali Nancy. As Nancy and Lon mentioned, I too think a crop of the sky would better showcase the majesty of Denali.

Nice to see that it's there! I've been there twice and never snagged anything of it because of the weather. I agree with the pano crop. Bringing out the darks on McKinley and lightening the FG hills would be a good move.

Thanks for the helpful comments. This was our first time in Alaska, we were there for 14 days in August, and it never rained once. Are we lucky or what????

I strongly agree with those who suggest to crop the sky. Grand landscape for sure!

Very nice! When I was there 10 years ago in August also, we saw the mountain 4 out of 5 days. Agree with cropping out some of the sky.
