Night Eye
by Wayne Jones
This challenge opened with the fascinating eyes of frogs, so I thought I would add another at the end. This is from my night shoot of a tiny spring peeper -- about an inch long. I used back-lighting and sparse side-lighting to put most of the frog in shadow to emphasize its nocturnal habit.

4 commentsI like the way you've use your lighting to "emphasize its nocturnal habit" as you say.
Only nit's the circular healing brush patterns you've left behind BRC from your PP? Or perhaps they're something else? Let me know??
Great entry
THANKS
UPDATE: Sorry Howard, it just dawned on me that BRC means "Bottom Right Corner." (Foggy brain this morning.) I am guessing you must be talking about those light green circles on the diagonal line just below the frog. It was raining on and off when I shot this, and everything was wet; those are out-of-focus raindrops.
The bokeh from our favorite lens (Sigma 150) also makes some circular patterns here. Hmmm... Do you think I should clone out that big round spot (some kind of bokeh flare?) near bottom center? Is it distracting?
