Rinennsee First Light

Just returned from 2 weeks exploring Austria's Tyrol region. I did a bit of hut to hut trekking in the Stubai Alps - some pretty spectacular scenery with weather ranging from snow, sun, rain, and fog which made for challenging photographic and hiking conditions but gave plenty of opportunity for moody shots. A cultural hit in Salzburg and then an all to brief tour in Hohe Taueren National Park - Austria 's largest. A life time could be spent just exploring that park. A lot of editing to do, but a great way to relive the trip. This image was a sunrise shot from a glacial lake and a popular day hike from the Franz Senn Hut. Fall doesn't give it the best lighting, but I was happy to see the view after a very foggy and windy afternoon the previous day. An alpine gem.

Any suggestions welcome.

What a wonderful looking place, Harry. It sure sounds like an exciting trip too. The larger version provides some excellent overall detail. No input towards changes here, just enjoying the site.

Excellent all around, Harry. The comp really gives a nice sense of the entire place and why this place is so well liked.

Conveys the pristine beauty of Australia well. The snow of the rock is quite effective.

Harry, this is an intriguing composition for me, excellent framing by the foreground rocks to my eye. I especially appreciate the subtle glow at the summit balancing the overall cold atmosphere. Great work in my opinion.

Thanks folks - Peter, you sure have a beautiful country. I didn't make it to the Vienna side, hopefully some day.

Wonderful comp and serene mood, Harry. The ice on the fg rock really adds to the overall impact of the shot...
