Wick, you've got some really nice colors and textures here, both in the foreground and background.

I think my only concern is the placement of the ram in the frame. It's sort of in no man's land... almost centered, but not quite... and not quite "rule-of-thirdsish" either. It seems like you could commit one way or another on this. To me, the strongest crop would be placing the ram in the lower left third (by cropping a bit from left and bottom) given its slightly right-facing pose, but you do have options.

Good color, pose, sharpness. I do think you could tighten the space around the ram with out loosing any impact. Wish I had taken it. Thanks for sharing.

I like the vertical white tree trunks in the background, works well with the colors of the ram. I also like the low point of view here. Good job preventing blowing out the white areas. There is a slightly disturbing jittery appearance to the background, presumably an inherent characteristic of the 2X teleconverter and its affects on bokeh.

Hi Wick,

You've separated the ram very nicely from what could have been a very distracting background - well done on that. I agree with the previous comments on this shot so won't repeat what they said. One additional point: when I look closely at the ram and the direction the trees are pointing I'm left wondering if a slight CW rotation is needed here?

Cheers...thanks for sharing this...
