Storr, Isle of Skye
I only had one sunrise as this popular location. Fortunately the light was pretty unique. I posted the common wide view but I like this one which hints at the grand scale much better.

VIEW THE LARGER IMAGE! The thumbnail in no way shows the treat the viewer will get when the larger image is opened. Dramatic light and huge scale. Print it large.

What a neat color combination between the blues, pink, and greens. Ruggedly beautiful.

Great mood at this iconic place, Kah. It took a time until my eyes got used to the fact that the bright area in the center is a lake and not a hole in a gigantic arch - kind of an optical illusion.
As I've seen it in a few shots of yours now I'd like to point out what seems like forgotten CA's in the areas close to the frame - here visible on the left around the mountain ridge. I could be wrong as web version are hard to analyze, but just wanted to mention it.

mysterious mood and wonderful colours... I suppose that's a pink cloud reflected in the water?

Kah Kit,
Wow, this is wild! I'm trying to figure this out. Even though I've never been, I've seen enough from this location to know there are no "arches." Yet, it sure looks like an arch behind the spires. Just to be sure, it's a cloud bank right? Or my eyes are really fooling me. Anyway, regardless, the light and color through the arch makes the image for me. Great title, although I think something with an eye in the title would work too. "The Eye of Mordor" or something like that.
Very cool, a great moment.

Thanks for noting the illusion of an arch. I never really thought of it this way since witnessing the event, I was clearly aware of what was going on. Andreas, I'll try to correct CA for larger web pics when I notice them next.

The light and the mist make for a very eerie atmosphere Kah Kit. The color and light are stunning.

Unique and beautiful light Kah Kit. That pink area seems like a portal to some other realm.
