The Time Traveler

This is a personal favorite from my collection of iPhone images. It gets very strong reactions from my friends, most of whom know the subject. It is a powerful image for them, some in good ways, some it makes uncomfortable. I would be very interested in your reactions.

What appeals to me is the that it works on several levels for me, but the most immediate is that several details bring to mind the early years of science fiction. There is also an other-worldly aspect to the subject, such that she is between worlds.
