Haven't posted in a while... been enjoying all the great work though.

Here's an image from the other night near my home in central Vermont. It's featured in my latest post over on the Dreamscapes Blog My Love Affair With Live View

As always thanks for taking a peek.

Love the light -- it really makes the image.

Kurt, love how the rocks break up the scene. Nice light with the v shape leading you right into the distant horizon. You can't go wrong with this one. Beautiful image! Also love the blog, nice work.

Nice light, I like the draw to the horizon, it feels so far away

Kurt,

Good to see a post from you. A wonderful reflectionscape; great color and I really like ridge line and how it all lines up at the top. Also, very important that the reflection of the ridge didn't merge with the rock in the water.

Not sure how you could have composed differently and since I wasn't there I have no idea... but I'm kinda wishing you were a bit closer to the water where you could have more of the rocks completely surrounded by water. Don't get me wrong, I really like this is as captured, just thinking it would be nice to have the bottom rocks all surrounded by water. No biggie though.

Fantastic Kurt! The FG rocks are a wonderful element and leads nicely to the beautiful sunset and great sky. Well done.

Thanks everyone. Yeah, I agree with you Lon. I have a similar comp of this from earlier in the summer when the lake level was higher and there was more water in the fg. This wasn't my first choice in comp, I was boxed in by another NPN tog, Mitch Moraski. Guess I should have pushed him in the water

Wonderful shot, Kurt, the light is really nice as is the comp. It does appear that the horizon has quite the tilt and could benefit from a CCW rotation. Not sure if its from the web sharpening but some of the rocks seem to have slight haloing around them. Also, the lower part of the reflection on the left seems more blue than the sky above, which is more magenta..I am also viewing this on my laptop so take that for what it's worth...a few minor tweaks and you'll have yourself a killer shot. :toast:

Great comp, great sky and colors. Sky does look very dark compared to the water though, which makes it feel a bit unnatural for me.
