Columbian Groundsquirrel

Nice image of this ground squirrel. A couple of things, I wish it were a vertical composition and at least on my monitor it looks a bit flat, like it needs a slight boost of brightness or contrast. Thanks for sharing.

You caught this fellow in a good pose Mark and the fact that h is on a rock, completely unobstructed makes it even better. My first thoughts when seeing the image were exactly the same as John's, i.e. vertical would have been a more suitable presentation for this standing subject and the image is a tad under exposed and would certainly benefit from a brightness boost and a slight contrast enhancement.

i agree with a vertical shot here too.
