Center of a Rose
by Jaymes Dempsey
I found a rosebush that is close to my home, so I've been spending time photographing it. It isn't looking that great, so no full on rose portraits...however, I attempted to get really close and get some shots that don't show the wilt.
I cloned out a few distracting stamens, some selective noise reduction and sharpening.
Nikon D200, 60mm, f/5, 1/200, ISO 320.
All comments and critiques appreciated!
Thanks in advance,
Jaymes

18 commentsThis is probably one of your best close up shots to date. The anthers are nicely defined in the pink white wash. I think your perseverance in this genre is starting to bear fruit.
Great shot :)
