Thank you all for your comments on my last post. While I'm pretty sure this is not the abstract some of you were envisioning from the Hoodoos, it's one of the few I took there. I like the contrast in shapes and textures. Comments and critiques appreciated. Thanks for looking.

A bit different, not the most attractive scene--but it mostly works for me due to the odd shapes/texture. Id crop the very top to get rid of that dark triangle and simplify things a bit more.
BTW--your email still isnt working 4 me. Feel free to send that file whenever.

Feels a bit "too close" maybe. Sort of misses the undulating rhythm of the original.

An abstract no, but an intimate scene, yes. And, I like the contrast in tones, texures, and colors, too.

I find this interesting, and for me the dappled light makes it come alive, very nice detail, and i like the colors. Good eye Nancy.

I like the lighter rock formation a lot, nice texture and color. I could live without the darker rock on the left though.

Nancy Lea, I find this a nice study in lighting and textures, especially the sand colored rocks on the right. In fact, I could see cropping the dark red rock completely.
