Here is another from my single frame endeavors. My husband thought this one was too busy, and a friend of mine looked at this series and asked "Why are they all fuzzy & out of focus"? :) I appreciate all comments & criticisms!

Eirini - I find shots like these really artistic and appealing compared to formal all in focus shots. I find the 3x3 grouping for the flowers as a strong compositional element here.

Would not mind a bit more focus for the grouping on the top right but I know I sometimes cannot have everything.

Best of this series, Eirini, IMO. Very artistic. No criticisms from me. :toast:

A very nice mix of in focus and blur. It keeps the eye moving around the frame. I, too, wish there was a bit more focus urc for the eye to complete the journey.

Tell them it's "photographic impressionism." Most people still expect a photograph to be documentary in style. Look what they're missing! I, for one, am really enjoying the series. Seems to me that there is a key factor causing the busy look-- there's a sharply focused leaf/stem at the left. I wonder what would happen if you softened that area quite a bit more... I view the stems as "script" or "type embellishments" around the flowers. Very creative comp, imo.

I like the colors and the shallow depth of field, Eirini. Really nice movement with the stems and groupings of flowers, too. Lovely!
