The Squeeze

This is the outlet of Granite Lake in the Crazy Mountains in Montana, taken close to sunset. Nothing dramatic going on here, but for some reason this particular scene appealed to me.

Please view the larger version, I had to compress this one quite a bit.

Two exposure blend for the shadows and water action. Thanks for looking and for any comments!

This is lush, Zack! The calm water above the log-jam really makes for a nice transition to the foreground. Well done!

Nice composition. I feel pulled right into the scene. This is indeed better in the larger version.

This definitely resonates with me. I like the composition and color and the intimate feel of the forest here. No nits from me.

Agree that the large version is way better. A very inviting scene. I could set down on a log right there and watch the scene for some time. Nicely composed and exposed. A lot of detail for the eye and brain to take in.

I really like this one Zack. The comp is perfect for this scene and you did an excellent job dealing with the dynamic range.

Zack, your centered composition works very well for me. The fallen logs add a lot and make for interesting focal points to me. Your exposure and blending are spot on in my opinion.

I like this. Lots of nice elements, like the older trunks in stream and forest and the variety of green tones. Very nice

Dramatic-shmatic. Who cares about epic when you have something as beautiful as this. No wonder it appealed to you! And, you made it look it's very best. :toast:

Well I find myself wanting to stand in this position as well and see, smell, and take the whole scene in.
