Young Elk

This young buck was in a large field at Yellowstone. I think he is an elk, but is certainly not the size of others I've seen. ID would be appreciated. Taken with Canon 7D, using 100-400 IS lens.

Hi Patricia,

That's a nice 5-pointer you captured there - so likely not too small of an elk! Always a bit of a challenge to place an animal in the frame when the body is pointed one way and the head is looking another way, but I like how you placed this one.
