King's Brew

Another one from Kauai. The North Shore and King's Bath (I believe). This enclave was being pounded by the incoming tide. I scaled down the rocks into the bath and constantly had to retreat to avoid getting slammed by a wave and potentially knocked into the ocean. It was exciting and humbling at the same time.

I'm painfully slow in processing my images from Hawaii. Wedding planning along with trying to incorporate new methods and approaches I've learned recently. Would love to hear your thoughts...

Thanks,

Navin

Navin,
Another very strong image from you.
Water, rocks sky all working together perfectly.
I also like the processing.
No suggestions or nits from me.

Very fine picture and excellent processing. No nits or suggestions, except to get all that fine equipment insured, if you haven't done it already!

Nice comp. Pretty good blending. Far distant cliff looks a bit too light and bit of bright halo at the bottom.

Lovely shot Navin. I like your comp and angle of view. The colors and textures in the water and on the rocks are really nice. I love the faint light beams in the center of the sky. It would be nice if those were a bit more prominent.
I'm sure you're very careful when shooting close to the waves, but this is how I lost my last camera and almost myself by being to close the breaking waves on a rocky headland. Those massive waves hit when you least expect... WHAM!

Lots of energy and some great texture in surf and clouds. Nice balance to this one.

Very nice Navin. I really like your chosen shutter speed. Overall, I like it, but it appears a little bright on my work monitor.

That's a beautiful yellow cloud with great reflection in the water. I also like the eye flow (lr to ul). There does seem to be a halo at the base of the distant cliff. Lovely image.

Thanks, everyone for your comments!!

I see there is lightness at the base of the entire mountain chain, but that is due to the mist coming up from the water on that side. Besides that, there was an inconsistency with the blend that showed up as a muddled halo. I'm not sure which those who had commented are referring to, but here's a large repost for your thoughts:

This is excellent Navin. I really like the blues/golds and the touch of motion in the water. Well done.
