I think this is Topis. The picture is from a safari tour between Mbalgeti and Seronera in the Serengeti National Park.

Nikon D300, Sigma 100-300/4 and converter 1,4

420 mm, Iso 250, 1/250, f/10

I don't normally like shots of animals leaving a scene without seeing a fave or eye...but I actually find myself liking this comp quite a bit. With that said, I wish the Topis (if that is what they are called) were more in focus and sharper. I would also add a bit more contrast to this.

Hi Lennert,

I like the line here between the animals, and how it almost looks like a multiple exposure of a single animal frozen in 3 different "places in time". Always nice to see some innovative and slightly "against the grain" images posted here (or anywhere, for that matter).

Personally I'm not a huge fan of sepia-tone wildlife images - I love it on some subject matter (such as crumbling old buildings or anything with a clearly"historic" theme) where the "old time" look works, but to me it doesn't normally add much above and beyond what one can do with colour or well-executed B&W in a wildlife image.

Cheers...and thanks for sharing this one...
