Watchful Eye

This elk was between the road and the pond in back of him munching on the grass. Wasn't bothered by the car stopping and me leaning out with my 100-400 IS lens, but did keep a watchful eye. Taken in Alberta, above Jasper. Cleaned up the background some, otherwise usual adjustments only.

Comments welcome.

You are right to title this with "eye." His gaze is attention holding. I sort of wish the single blade of curved grass did not cross over the eye, but that is minor. On my monitor the green grass seems a little over exposed, so I would experiment with pulling back on that slightly.
