Mt. Robson

One of the many beautiful mountains in Alberta and British Columbia. I have a series of them, most unnamed because of my lack of knowledge, and all shot along the main road through the Canadian Rockies or main route to Prince George, BC from Jasper. Mt. Robson has an BC information center at its base and I was able to actually stand on the ground (vs going 70 mph and taking a shot through the car window

Taken with Canon 5D, using 24-135 IS lens.

that's quite a chunk of rock! a polariser would have helped, methinks, with the reflection off those leaves and giving you a little more contrast with the sky. i'd love to see this in more forgiving light ... oh, and it's good to stop and put our feet on the ground now and then!

I like how you framed this mountain.I agree with Stuart on the light and the polarizer.

I am in Lake Louise this week and agree that the Canadian Rockies ROCK.

Beautiful place that just cries to be photographed. It looks like the light was a bit harsh when you took this. Sometimes we are constrained by time and not able to shoot in the best light, I have been there. The only other thing is that I wish there was something on the right to balance the tree on the left.

Quite a view. I love the massive bulk of the cliffs and their delicate dusting of snow.

Patricia,

I agree with Bill in that I like the framing here. Also agree with Stuart to the extent that it would be nice to have just a little more contrast in the mountain. Otherwise, a beautiful view of this impressive peak. I like the cloud action too.
