Hi guys, I do apologize for not being too present with my comments as I was travelling. I took this one as the sun was rising and lighting up the peaks. Sunrise over Convict Lake. Just an amazing experience.
Convict Lake in Mammoth Lakes, Ca.
As always your C and C are much appreciated.
Thanks!
Marco.

nice light and elegant comp. there's some orten (or whatever it's called) funk going on that has me reaching for my eyeglasses and trying to polish it off ... i'm on the fence about it. some sort of blending artifacts, too, around the mountains i think - but it could be my eyeglasses again. reflections should be darker than the sky, methinks but i like the clarity of the blue tone in the reflection.

Some fine light on the peaks. Having been at the lake my last visit to the Sierras, the boulders so close to the distant shore line when composing was always a little troubling. I think there needs to be some more room, but onless you got in the lake it would be difficult from the shore. Feels tight in that area, but otherwise a serene and tanquile shot.

Nice light. It has an HDR-like feel and the halo is prominent. The reflection is a little bit too bright.

I like the colors but i also agree with Yiming Hu on the HDrish look and the halos. The reflections should be darker than the "originaal part".

Great light and fine reflection. I agree that there's too much burning in of the sky and think that some burning in of the reflections might also help. This has the potential to be a really fine picture.

Marco,

At first glance it's a beauty! Wonderful light on the peak and a great reflectionscape. I really like this. As I read the comments though, they did bring out some processing nuances that I think could be improved; all of which are not major. Color-wise it's pretty good all though I see a bit of purple n the lower water. I agree that the water is a little bright relative to the real sky. the "artifacts" may be more a result of jpg compression more than anything. My last comment is that I detect just a slight ccw rotation just judging by the far shore side to side.

I think it's a beautiful image and with a little tweaking will be even better.
