Hi all,

Still working with wild boar and they finally are getting used to me. Normally they are very shy of human presence but I'm sitting under the same tree every day and they seem to relax more and the come really close. I managed to get a nice close up of this female in nice evening light.

Nikon D4 and Nikon 500/4 VR
iso 200 1/200 s. f/4 full frame

Wow, you managed to make a boar look adorable! It almost looks like she's posing for you; in any case, she appears very calm. Where are you that you have wild boar about? The evening light here is AWESOME. Love the complimentary colors of the grass and BG.

Don't do this when there are young around. The females can get deadly vicious! Excellent shot.

Of course the light is excellent, but what I like most is the view of that eye. Tiny nit might be a slight softness on the very end of the nose, but I wouldn't have wanted to sacrifice the buttery smooth background. All in all, very pleasing.

Not sure how I missed this one Edwin, because even the thumbnail is explosive! The framing on this is perfect. I LOVE how the grasses move from bottom to top being blurred to in focus and spreading both left and right of your subject, It really provides excellent balance to the image. The light is fantastic and of course the techs top notch. Really a super shot.
