Yes, I wish the petal orientation did not show the background from in between in the top left quadrant  .

ND300s, AFD200mm F/4 Micronikkor with 36mm of Tubes, F/16, 1/60Sec, ISO400, Diffuser, Tripod and most likely Mirror Lock-Up.

Thanks a lot for your comments on Hibiscus in Rain and let me know what you think of this one.

Wow Ram. Quite a stunner. I think you hit on my only nit - you cannot have every thing, every time. If only you had another bloom that could have filled in behind. I love the high key look. Excellent shot.

Actually, I like the contrast provided by the opening in the petals. The dash of green color blends pleasingly with the high key white and yellow of the pistil and stamen tower. It also provides an anchor to reality.

This is really outstanding. The whites contrasting with the textural light browns...and the lines of the petals...fabulous! I can't decide if I like the green part, though I definitely don't dislike/mind it. Brilliant composition, too.

Well done, Ramamohan. The stamen and anther are very sharp. The background
opening doesn't bother me.

Ram:
Stunning!
I was bothered by the green slit on the thumbnail but did not seem to mind it when I open it up. I think the slit is neutral overall and the rest of the frame is simply superb :toast:

What a crisp and clear shot of this beautiful flower, Ram! The white coloring is so vivid without being burned out. I like the pale stamen with just a slight contrast from the white petals. I am a little bothered by the green since everything else is so pale. If you didn't any any scruples against it, you probably could have carefully cloned some white over that in processing. Irregardless of whether there is green on no green, this is a stunning image! So fresh and clean!

So alive! Veins really make this esp the left side. Sharp little stamens separated and clean are super. I am in the group wishing the slit were closed. Great shot.

That background showing doesn't bother me at all...I love the crispness of this images...the bright yellow against the perfect lighting on the white petals!

Hi Ram :wavey: Would the image be more perfect, without the green background? This is very subjective, i think the green bg adds to this already perfect presentation :toast:
