Here is another shot from Sourdough Ridge above Sunrise Lodge on Mt. Rainier. This was taken a few minutes after my last post and shows a few small clouds that showed up in time, just to help me out.

D7000
3 second exposure at f22
16-50 at 24mm
ISO 100

Critiques strongly desired.

Fantastic! I love this place even though I was only there for a day and a half. Definitely have to visit this side next time I'm out there. I like the addition of the clouds and the light pink the edges are catching. I might take off a bit from the left for more of a square look somewhere near the end of that line of trees at the bottom. Nevertheless, a fine image.

Wonderful soft pink glow over Mt Rainer Steve. I like how the lodge gives the scene a sence of scale. That mountain is so Hugh in person.

Wow, super composition, Steve. The diagonal lines of trees and the flowery foreground, as well as the lodge, all make a lovely setting for the mountain, and the sky tops it off beautifully. Looks perfectly natural as a dimly-lit soft light pre-dawn shot, in anticipation of what might happen with some stronger, more directional light (which sometimes spoils the scene).

Very nice Steve. I agree with Eva, the tiny lodge and visitor center really give the mountain scale! I would wish for more separation of the sky and top of the mountain, but very cool nevertheless.
