Neat capture. I spent a couple of hours yesterday trying to get wasps (and butterflies) up close and personal and didn't come close to anything this good on a wasp. They're always moving. I like the iridescence in the wing and the clarity in most of the body. The yellow flowers set the wasp off nicely.

I've never seen this variety of wasp either, John. The white bands are striking. The surrounding yellow flowers make a great background for the wasp. First rate wasp capture, IMO.

Interesting wasp! They are pretty hard to photograph...at least for me! Nice job!

Great image. While the yellow sets it off it also makes it hard to expose properly. You did an excellent job. I never saw one of these either.

Love this, John ! The black of the insect against the yellow flowers and stems works superbly - beautifully composed and very well captured.

Great shot, John! Wonderful yellow background; the black wasp contrasts so nicely with the yellow flowers. I like your comp too with the wasp on more focused front flowers, facing toward the OOF flowers. Love the white stripes. . .so many amazing critters out there to observe!
