I've got lots of pictures of female/immature/basic plumage Yellow-rumped Warblers, but the alternate-plumage males had eluded me until recently.

I appreciate your comments and critiques. Please view the larger version if possible.

The bird and background are both gorgeous here Brian, I would consider cropping a little from the bottom to take away some of the large, oof perch and adding a touch more back on top. Beautiful image :toast:

I have never heard of the Birdstick variety in AZ  . Wonderful shot Brian, pose, perch, feather detail and background all come together, well done.

While it may be a bird on a stick - these yellow rumped warblers look great in their breeding plumage. Nice background as well

The stick supports the bird nicely, and adds an air of satisfaction to the demeanor of the bird that might not be present otherwise. The stick is obviously doing all of the work. While the bird looks good, I think it is the stick that deserves the praise. :toast: :toast:

Beautiful bird in a great pose. Nice colours and detail.
I agree to cut out more of the perch - it's large enough to compete with the bird - then add a bit more on top.
Fine shot!

Very nice Brian, I've not seen a Yellow-rumped male with such nice plumage before..
The ones I've observed always look a bit on the raggedy side.
Techs look excellent, well done! :toast:
