The Eurasian Magpie.
Taken in The Hague in the dune forest by the sea.

sony a550
400mm Tamron 200-400 F5.6
F 7,1
1/1250
no tripod

The Tamron lens really can be a bit a challenge. Often there is really bad CA but it is the only 400mm that in a preloved state came in range of my budget. In the right condition and with practise it can however deliver some nice shots.

Nice photo of the magpie. I like the way you have it framed between the branches. I do wish you had posted a larger image, it is difficult to judge sharpness in the smaller one. Have not used the Tamron 200-400 but I had a 28-300 which I really had to struggle with to get sharp focus. Thanks for sharing.

Really nice with the black and white Magpie surrounded of the blurred branches. For me the picture would have been even better with the Magpie placed a little to the right.

The compositions is fine and the light works. You also have a nice catch light in the eye.

Nice job, Ester. The detail looks pretty good at this size. A little cropping from the right and top would de-center the bird a bit and make it larger in the frame.
