Golden light lit up an island of trees and reeds on Lochan Hakel near Ben Loyal Sutherland, Scotland a little after sunrise. It was taken right after my previous post turning away from the fierce light.

Canon 5D2
Canon TSE-24mm 3.5L
ISO100 0.4sec f/16
Lee 1.5 Stop HE Gradient

Thanks for having a look.

Very subtle and natural tones. Good job in less than perfect light. As a composition, there is very little drama here, just a quiet and lovely scene. I like it!

Really enjoying the side light on this one, Eva. I also like this scene with the small amount of FG shoreline here, provides a nice anchor. You might try a crop there too for another POV, but I'm sure either way works just fine.

I was looking at both of your posts of this image and I think this one wins out for me Eva. I like the nice warm light coming in from the side. The steam is a great addition also. Definitely looks like Scotland.

Beautiful light! The large version makes me feel like I'm right there. Very nice, Eva!

Sort of wish I could see those mountains in the distance, but it's a nice landscape regardless. Very nice light.

Love the quiet mood and overall feel of the comp in this one. Sweet light as well. You just keep bringing them, Eva!

Pretty, Eva, a real nice scene! To me, most of the interest lies in the left half of the photo, but its nice overall too

I really like the light here. There is a certain peacefulness in the warmth and quiet. Overall the comp is maybe a bit to encompassing. Lots of nice stuff to see here, but less to focus on.

I remember this little pool and I stopped by this little scene too, you had better light than when I set up to compose it so I think it worked pretty well for you but I had a problem with the bushes in front just being a little tall such that they obscured the mountains I hoped to keep those bushes within the envelope of their shape but I couldn't quite get high enough to do so. The beautiful light and residual mist would probably have swayed me to take the picture just as it did you.
