Beautifully caught, Ester - the flies seem to be dancing around the flower ! I like the off centre composition

This is fun to look at. Flower and flies are positioned nicely and really stand out against the bg

Just really well done! Sharp as a tack where it needs to be, with both flies in good focus. I would suggest a crop from the left, but that isn't really more than gilding the lily. Good as is. :toast:

Great capture, Ester! Those flies are often hard to get in focus and you caught two of them in good focus! Beautifully colored flower that shows up nicely against the blurred green background. I like the off-center comp and the extra room.

My first response when I saw this was to say that this is a "fun shot." I then saw Nancy's reaction was the same, so I think this reinforces that the image evokes that reaction. I think the average person doesn't appreciate the way flies are drawn to flowers. I not only like that the flies are both sharp, but they are perfectly positioned at 2:00 and 10:00. The contrasting colors of the flower and bg is also good. Lots to like about this one, Ester. :toast:

Thank you for having a look  through a macro lens animals become even more intriguing also the ones a lot of people don't really like when you can see all the detail you realise how amazing all living creatures are. These just looked so fun playfully chasing eachother. Luckily they sat still for a short moment.
