Mono sunset

Last week there was a huge forest fire on the east side of Mono Lake in California. It made for a very colorful sunset.

Canon 5d m3, ISO800, f/11, 1/6 sec, polarizer and ND gradient filter. No saturation!

I would especially appreciate comments or critiques on the sky; ways in which it might be improved. Thanks.

Nice image, Kathy. I don't know how you feel about these approaches, but I would remove that one bright cloud. Beautiful moment.....

The sky seems fine to me Kathy, but I might increase the contrast from mid ground to foreground.

Love the beautiful soft colors in the brush and sky. I might crop some from the right and place more emphasis on the lake. Just a thought. Very peaceful feel to this. Enjoyable

That is a gorgeous sky for sure. Probably mentioned already but I would pump up the contrast from fore to mid ground to give the image some punch and maybe add a little color to the lake. Beautiful image Kathy.

I wouldn't touch the sky, but I'd add some contrast and/or move the black point down the scale to get a bit more contrast in the bushes. Perhaps toning down the light green in the foreground as well, as that tends to catch my eye. This is a great image & stunning light.

The comp and light are quite nice. I like the contrast between the green plant and the magenta-ish clouds. Clone the road(s) maybe?
