Yesterday was trying to get some cool shots of some hummers but the wasps destroyed my plans and they didn't give the chance for hummingbirds to get to any feeder or flowers ....
Was sitting on the porch and I saw the two male kestrels fighting for female, they put on some stunning show, C&C welcome!

Great interest with all three in sharp focus, way to go Verdon.
I especially like the diving flight pose of the male up top, very cool :toast:

Verdon,
Way cool action here. The diving male is what got me to have a closer look see and the large version is really nice. The female doesn't look too concerned at all the commotion though. Hope you get some opportunities.

I very much like the action and the clarity of all 3 birds. The perch is a bit much.

Very cool image! The male kestrel at the top is a neat image buy itself. Like the colords and detail. Would like to have seen more of the bottom males face. Must have been exciting. Thanks for sharing.

Both versions are excellent photos. Unfortunate clutter around the perched birds, but you take what you can get to tell the story.
I know this was a trill to see and shoot. I saw kestrels doing this once when I was out shooting wildflowers and butterflies. They were not close enough for good shots, but it was fascinating to watch the acrobatics.

Verdon,
This is a is a great action shot with that 'WOW' factor, well done. The original post is my favorite, it tells the story with several points of interest within the overall composition. :toast:

Nice, Verdon. The first image tells the story a bit better, but the second version shows off the bird better. Depends on your purpose which you might want to use. Both are very cool images.
