Emergence
by Jared Atencio
Taken along the South Oregon coast at the end of May. After aborting my original plan of shooting rhodies in the Redwoods (a bit too soon), I decided to "scout" an area of coast I had been google-earthing prior to my trip. As it turned out, I lost cell service in this area, so randomly picked a pull-out and trailhead. I embarked on the main trail, and instinctively took what appeared to be a wild-boar path cut through the thick underbrush. Well, this view is where this path ended, and I was able to witness a very unexpected fiery sunset for this time of year. As always, I appreciate any comments or critiques-thanks for viewing.

I also agree with the comments about the LHS and lack of separation. Believe it or not this was shot @ 16mm and I could barely fit this in the frame! In hindsight I might sacrifice a touch on the RHS to balance more, but I may try adding a few CA fill pixels on the LHS to see if that helps at all. Maybe a repost with all of the above tomorrow.
Thanks again.
