These Harebells are sturdier in a storm than their little stems suggest!

The LP looks fab Karen, techs R right one the money.
Lovely color and great light, I especially like the stem angle that vanishes near the bottom here

Outstanding image, Karen! Just perfect in so many ways! Great subject, colors, DOF choice, background, comp, focus on main flower, fading stem, raindrops. . . can you tell I love this?

I'll echo what everyone else has said. Well done.
I'm amazed you are able to do a stack handheld....what software are you using to combine the images?

Thanks for the comments everyone, and many similar in return. I've been in the background, following all the galleries on NPN for a few months now and have learned so much from each of you!! This is a very positive community
Mark - I used CS6 to do the stack. Funny thing, almost always put the tripod in the car when I go out... but then.... well, maybe one of these days. Because of the variation when hand-holding, I took more than 3 images and used LR to scroll through and choose the ones to merge along with the typical light/contrast/sharp adjustments. Then into CS6, first did File > Automate > Photomerge which corrected for hand-held movement (you could probably do Merge to Panorama from lightroom and get the same results). After the images were merged, selected all layers and used Edit>Auto Blend Layers > Stack Images, then cropped off the rough edges.
Cheers!

I like harebells, but I still haven't made a photograph as nice as this one. Hand held! How can you take images to stack shooting handheld? The background is nice and the composition is elegant.
