Phoebis agarithe, the Orange Giant Sulphur or Large Orange Sulphur, is a butterfly in the Pieridae family. It is found from Peru north to southern Texas and peninsular Florida.
I believe this is an adult female in the "winter" yellow-orange form.

Nice one, Howard. The orange flowers make a perfect perch for the yellow (ok, Orange) Sulphur. Excellent detail and a good BG. :toast:

This tight comp shows off the beautiful details perfectly, Howard. The underside of the wings have intricate details that deserve your close treatment. The flowers add a colorful touch without being distracting.

What a great frame-filling image of this butterfly! Wonderful details in both the butterfly and the flower. Vivid colors that show off so well against the green background. Great capture, Howard!
