New Holland Honeyeater

These honeyeaters were feeding on Flame Heath, a ground cover shrub and would occasionally pop up onto a higher perch before dropping down again. I kept it loose to convey the wide open feel of the heath.

Beautiful composition, Rob. The contrast between the bird and bg is great enough to make the looser crop work very well and I like the way the line of the brush leads to the bird.

Wow, very cool Rob, wonderful scene with the foreground detail and the complimentary background, amazing feather pattern on the honeyeater as well, excellent shot. The larger image was a pleasure to view.

Geez this is really nice Rob. The looser comp is perfect. The blurred background mixed with a very sharp bird and perch makes this just terrific. You got him with a very nice head turn as well. :toast: :toast:

Nice to see a picture with a little bit more of the habitat included. Good composition. The white eye makes a lot for the picture!

Well done!!
