Clouds reflect off the glassy surface of Meddybemps Lake as the sun sets in Downeast Maine. Taken 47 minutes before sunset, this is number 4 in a series of 12 starting 70min before sunset.
4 (vert) image pan (56mp), Canon 5DII, EF17-40 @ 17mm, 1/60sec @ f11, ISO 100.
I originally posted this image a few months ago but I've done some work on it since then so I'm re-posting it.

This feels like a breath of fresh air. Wonderful clouds and reflection. The dark clump of trees on the rhs kinda overpowers the spit of land on the left so the scene seems a little out of balance but I really like the coolness in the rocks there so I wouldn't crop it. Just thinking out loud a bit. This is really quite nice.

I really like the depth of this image. It gives a feeling of openness. Fine image.

Love the eye movement created by the lines of clouds and their reflection. Looks like a wonderful evening. I could see lightening the sky in the ulc and the reflections along the bottom, but that might change the overall mood.
