The Journey

... not the destination because after awhile I just got tired and turned around and went home. Along the way I took some shots of the hillside opposite me, the moving clouds playing peek-a-boo with the trees. So much of the weather I've been out in has been like this, sometimes parting for a view, other times coalescing into showers, rain, hail, and thunder and lightning.

Great mood captured here Dean. This captures the mood of "Cascadia" well. One problem I always struggle with in these heavy fog/forest shots, is that the fog can rob some of the depth of the photo. This one struggles with that some too, but I do like the way the stream teases you into the photo.

Definitely looks like the Pacific Northwest! I like how you can see a few patches of snow through the trees and fog. Did you get an images zoomed in farther to capture the fog drifting through the trees?

Dean, I really like the mood created by the fog an trees. Your image gives me an immediate experience of the atmosphere.

The brighter snow covered areas in the lower half draw my attention a bit too strongly in my opinion and make for a lack of consistency to my eye. Maybe some tighter crop excluding them could help. But that might be only a matter of opinion.
