I like this sky! I does have a paintery feel to it. I think you did well here. The silhouette of the tree line works well.

Excellent sunset colors here John. I really like how you included the trees and ridge line. I'm undecided about the really dark clouds up top. I could see this working as a pano crop with less of the dark clouds.
