Nice shot of the Killdeer John, you've gotta love that eye. Beautifully exposed and tack sharp. To take this shot to the next level, I would like to see a head turn to give more contact and I would try for a much lower POV to create a more intimate view and to separate the bird form the BG. Nicely done.

Nice detail and exposure, John. It looks like there's a processing artifact above the beak and the forehead. I agree with Randy's comments on composition, but these guys can be awful skittish.

Lovely detail in the back. I also agree with Randy's suggestions. I'd also wish for just a bit more of a turn towards the camera.

Fine details and colors, good closeup comp with just enough room..
Like the birds shadow there too.
Might be better if it had turned a bit more towards the light, but a great image as posted John

Technically a good image John, but I think it looses something with the angle of the bird. I do wish his head was turned more toward the viewer and al wish you had a bit of a lower angle. Still a nice image overall though.
