I have yet to get a swallow in flight (a nemesis) - but I do like this image with the head-turn and interesting branch.

Really sweet image, with perfect color, detail and perch. Out of the park, Sandy!

Superb, Sandy. Nice to get all that detail in the plumage. Usually the iridescence blows out the detail.

Sandy, I like the overall comp. To me this looks like a largish crop with a bit too much sharpening, especially on the head area. Would backing off the crop and reducing sharpening be an option?

Nice shot, Sandy. You got the colorful side with a convenient turn of the head plus a nice BG. And made the most of it with a great capture.

I share the same challenge on flight shots with those little rascals. Plenty of wing tips, tails, blurs, etc. but not one decent shot yet
